Prisons Ministry
River of Life Church Prison Ministry exists to share the unconditional love of God and to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that inmates will embrace it and receive Christ as their personal Saviour. We continue to disciple them in the Word and teach them how to be a follower of Christ, as commissioned by Jesus Christ in Mathew 28 v 19.
We also provide for their physical needs, for example, fruit, soap, Vaseline, baby clothes, diapers and baby formula.
Our ministry has had a noticeable impact and as a result the Zimbabwe Prison and Correctional Services accredited our ministry to go nationwide with the Forgiveness Program which started in 2019. The program helps the inmates find forgiveness which assists in the process of reintegration back into society. We also equip them with life skills as we prepare them for life after prison.
If you are called to the ministry of soul winning and discipleship, please come and join us. Our visits to the prison are once a fortnight on a Wednesday and a Saturday from 10am – 12:30pm.
