Rockets
In John 21 Jesus says to Peter “Feed my lambs”. God loves it when we care for the smallest and most vulnerable and prioritize their welfare and growth in Him. I love working in Rockets because we are doing what Jesus calls us to do.
Your children will attend Rockets from 12 months to 5 years old. During their time in Rockets we aim to share God’s love with them and to teach them from the truth of God’s word.
Rockets is a place where parents take turns to look after and serve each other’s children. (We do not have paid children’s workers). A team of 3 – 4 parents facilitate each week, and generally duties come around once a month. This includes mother and fathers – we strongly encourage fathers to be involved, if possible. Your child will love it when you are on duty and it demonstrates to them that they are important to you and that you prioritise time with them and time serving others.
At times it can be tough – small children can be demanding, challenging and exhausting – emotionally and physically. But I know that you will also find the time with the little ones very rewarding as you grow as a person, having to trust God more as you step out of your comfort zone. It is a wonderful way to build relationships with other parents and families with children the same age.
