Leadership
Elders. In accordance with what we read in the New Testament, River of Life Church is led by a team of Elders; men who take ultimate responsibility under Christ for guarding, guiding and governing the church.
Staff Team. River of Life is also served by a wonderful team of men and women who work alongside the Elders helping them by running and coordinating various aspects of church life.
All Believers. Beyond the staff team, the church is served by many leaders and contributors on a volunteer basis taking care of specific areas of responsibility and activity in the church.
Scott and Claire Marques
Scott Marques is the Lead Elder, carrying the primary responsibility for the vision and direction of the church, the development of church culture and leadership growth. Scott is married to Claire and they have two children – Kimberley and Stephen and daughter-in-law Shan. Scott also leads one of the Newfrontiers Teams serving churches across Southern Africa called Disciple Nations (DNa).
Andrew and Samara Ellis
Andrew is the GP Site Leader and the Host Team Leader of the GP morning meeting. Andrew is married to Samara and they have three children – Ceanna, Asha and Toby. Andrew also serves churches in Harare and beyond, especially in terms of leadership strengthening.
Muss and Natsi Maramwidze
Muss is the Eastlea Site Leader and is also involved with the Africa Alive initiative serving churches widely within Disciple Nations. Muss is married to Natsi, who oversees HR and Administration at ROL. They have three children – Munesu, Nina and Mudiwa
Dave and Helen Hobbs
Dave is the Executive Leader and oversees the operations world of the church, including finances. Dave is married to Helen, who is ROL’s children’s pastor, and they have two daughters – Emily and Jessica.
Derek and Margit Landman
Derek is part of the host team at the GP morning service and he and Margit are overseeing the small groups at River of Life. Derek is a quantity surveyor with extensive work in Zimbabwe and the region. Derek and Margit have three sons – Marc, Scott and Ryan.
Barry and Wendy Rawlings
Barry is the Host Team leader at the Eastlea morning meeting and married to Wendy. Barry manages the African Christian Tours & Safari’s (ACTS) office in Harare. The Rawlings have three sons – James, Christopher and Timothy.
Stu and Teresa Knight
Stu is a Host Team member at the GP evening meeting and is part of the finance committee of ROL. He is married to Teresa and they have two children – Shelby and Connor. Stu is CEO of Halsted Brothers (Pvt) Ltd in Zimbabwe.
Roy Chimanikire
Roy is a Host Team member at the Eastlea morning meeting and part of the finance committee of the church. Roy is married to Chenai and they have three children – Nokutenda, Ndanatswa and Natenzi. Roy is the Deputy CEO of Econet Zimbabwe.
Jacob and Terumi Ngandu
Jacob is a host team member at the Eastlea morning meeting and significantly involved in next generation leadership development. Jacob is married to Terumi and they have two children – Keira and Aira.
Scott and Dustine Smith
Scott is a host team member at the Eastlea morning meeting and has a particular gift for equipping the church prophetically. Scott is married to Dustine and they have three children – Keenan, Jared and Mia.
Gus and Michelle Hulley
Gus is a host team member of the GP morning meeting. Gus is married to Michelle and they have three sons – David, Jono and Danny. Gus is the headmaster at Gateway Primary School.
