SOZO
SOZO – SAVED, HEALED, DELIVERED
Sozo (Greek) was a word often used by Jesus, meaning “saved, healed and delivered”. The word Sozo encompasses everything about being made whole, well and free.
River of Life Church SOZO* ministry is committed to help individuals to intimately connect with God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This ministry is a thread God is using in the Body of Christ to restore identity and bring freedom to individuals, allowing them to walk out their God given destiny.
Why would I go for a SOZO?
Hebrews 12 v 1 – 2a says “let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfector of our faith.”
In the course of life, we pick up things that hinder or entangle us: childhood hurts, offenses, lies we believe, sinful choices, trauma. All these prevent us from experiencing the abundant life that Jesus’ blood purchased for us.
What does a SOZO session involve?
A SOZO session can run from 1 ½ to 2 hours and is conducted by two to three team members who will sit with you and, with the help of the Holy Spirit, will walk you through the process of freedom and wholeness. Sozo is not a counselling session but a time of interacting with Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. The team members seek to honour you at all times. The more open you are, the more freedom you will experience.
